Here is an example of an undetected scoring error. Say you are the top player in the club and the scoring system records you as having played with a player on a day when you were not playing. Your average will most likely go down and the average of the player with whom you were scored will most likely go up for the period of the competition. The player who really played on that day will have a missing score and may not qualify as a finalist in the competition. This kind of error is not detected by the DataPrax LeaderBoard software. The governing body for the competition must set in place procedures that will ensure that all scores for all players are accurately recorded and ascribed to the correct player for any session that is a qualifying session for the competition.
